For the municipalities served by the Quebec-Saguenay and Quebec-North Shore circuits, the Intercar offers an adapted transport for people in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.
At Intercar, we believe that everyone deserves personalized assistance when traveling, going on trips or activities. That's why we provide you with a fleet of vehicles tailored to your situation. Our drivers have extensive experience working with special needs clients, and they also regularly receive complete training to be able to adapt their service to its greatest potential. Their training covers CPR , application of safe movement principles of users (PDSB) and use of medical equipment, as needed. Competitive prices and high-quality services are offered for adapted transport, medical transport, and people with reduced mobility transport.
Note that the coach who provides this service has a lifting platform designed for easy boarding. Inside the vehicle, an anchoring system also allows wheelchairs to travel safely.
For your long distance transport, travel is provided by our luxury coaches. Medical transportation and adapted school transportation is provided by the adapted minibus.

Accompanying
When a disabled person needs special attention when traveling in our vehicle and the driver cannot inquire into, a companion can travel free with this person.
If you wish to use this service, you must have the Quebec accompaniment card issued by the Association of Bus Owners Quebec (APAQ).
The guide dog
A disabled person (visually or otherwise) may be accompanied by his guide dog on board. It is the only type of animals allowed on board of Intercar vehicles.
Intercar, with its human approach and the excellence of its services, has as a partner the City of Saguenay, among others, to offer an adapted public transit service. Intercar also partners with the hospitals and healthcare facilities of Chicoutimi, Jonquière and Alma to ensure medical transportation of its users.
